Weird Game of the Week

Welcome to the First ever e-yuri's "Weird game of the Week"

Our first nominee is a game called alive by General Entertainment
It was First released in 08/06/98 in japan.

Alright this has been long overdue.. but anyways here is the review of General

Entertainment's game "Alive"

The the is centered around Japan in the very near future, and basically you

play as a Kawada Atsuko, trying to figure out more about your past and your

birth parents.

She has been put on the police's most wanted list for a crime she did not

commit.

This game is in the style of Point Click Movies games, similar to the the game

"D"(an oldie but a goodie PSOne game) or a Dragon's Lair type, except it uses

Full motion Video.

Oddly enough, even though the game is set in 2020, everything looks likes its

been done in the 1998,from the old Elevators, to no Cellphones.

The Storyline does reveal a lot of information about th main character, if you

manage to survive the game, but on the other had its only aobut 60 minutes

long(The first time you play it), which means you will throw it out after a

couple of tries.

Honestly The only reason I tried playing this game is because of the weird

cover... I figured the game must be weird as well, but not realy.

Who would enjoy this game? If you liked the old Sega CD game Night Trap or that

Sherlock Holmes game, then go for it, otherwise stay away.

4.5 out of 10

Cons:
-Good Quality FMV
-Very interresting story(If you understand Japanese that is)
-Preaty long for a game of its type(Dragon's Lair takes like 15 minutes, D

takes also about 40 minutes)

Pros:
- Nothing too innovative
- Get boring very quick once you beat it, and see the ending.
- The Price is not worth it, go buy a movie a decent instead.
